Accessibility Statement

Bilbao Museums Guide S.L. is committed to making this website accessible, in line with Royal Decree 1112/2018 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

1. Commitment

We intend the site to be usable by the widest possible range of people, including those who use assistive technology, those who navigate by keyboard, and those who read with enlarged or high-contrast displays.

2. Measures taken

The site uses semantic HTML landmarks, descriptive page titles, a consistent navigation structure, text alternatives for meaningful images, and a colour palette reviewed for contrast. Navigation can be operated by keyboard, and the layout reflows for small screens and for enlarged text.

3. Conformance status

The site is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. We assess it periodically, but we recognise that some content may not yet fully meet every criterion, particularly where third-party material or older pages are concerned.

4. Known limitations

Some decorative graphics may have reduced contrast by design. Certain images carry descriptive captions rather than full alt text where the caption already conveys the meaning. We continue to review these elements.

7. Compatibility

The site is tested with current versions of the major browsers and with common screen readers. Old or unusual combinations may produce a reduced experience, but the content remains readable in text form.

9. Assessment approach

The accessibility of this site is assessed through a combination of self-evaluation and periodic review. We check the structure of each page, the operability of the navigation by keyboard, the contrast of text against its background, and the behaviour of the layout when text is enlarged or the window is narrowed. Where a page falls short, we record the issue and address it in the next round of updates.
